The Australian National Maritime Museum is Australia’s national centre for maritime collections, exhibitions, research and archaeology.
The museum has one of the largest floating historical vessel collections in the world where visitors can climb aboard and explore life at sea.

Located on Sydney’s Darling Harbour, the Australian National Maritime Museum has one of the largest and most diverse in-water fleets in the world.
You can enjoy unlimited access to all exhibitions and activities open at the museum on the day of your visit.
Our multi-million dollar hi-tech interactive Action Stations and one of the world's largest floating museum fleets including cold war submarine, naval destroyer, stunning replica of Captain Cook's tall ship HMB Endeavour and the one of the rarest ship in the world Duyfken.

Opening hours
- Open daily from 10:00am - 4:00pm (last boarding time for Vessels is 3:10pm)
- NSW school holidays open from 9:30am to 5:00pm (last boarding time for Vessels is 4:10pm)
- Closed on Christmas Day 25 December
Notices
- Child prices apply to ages 4-15, children under 4 are free.
- Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult when boarding the vessels.
- Kids on Deck: Recommended for children aged 5-12 and their families.
- Height requirements: Some vessels have height restrictions (Children need to be at least 90cm in height to board). You can ask at the ticket desk regarding visiting vessels upon arrival.
- For safety reasons, the museum suggests covered, flat and comfortable shoes for visitors’ safety. High heels are not permitted on the museum’s vessels. Open-toed shoes, sandals and thongs are discouraged.
- Adults are not permitted to carry infants and children in arms on the vessels for personal safety reasons.
- Smoking, food, beverages and videography are not permitted on board any vessel or in the lighthouse.
- Photography and cameras are permitted on board vessels and in the lighthouse.
- Large bags should be deposited at the Museum’s cloakroom before boarding or visiting the lighthouse and vessels. Cloakroom service is provided free of charge.
- Vessels do not dock at the dock permanently and may be changed from time to time. Please confirm on the official website before placing an order.
