The Highlight
Hot air ballooning is an adventure activity and whilst there are no fixed timelines, your entire experience, including breakfast after the flight, should take approximately 3.5 – 4.5 hours.
Flights scheduled Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. This is a weather dependent activity and refundable in the event of bad weather cancellation.

Your exact departure time will be communicated to you the day before your scheduled flight.) 2:30am: Depart from Sydney 5:00am: Meet our Pilots & ground crew members at Peterson House 5:30am: Travel to the launch site 6:30am: Enjoy approximately 1 hour sunrise balloon flight 8:00am: Gourmet Champagne breakfast at Peterson House 9:00am: Begin the return journey to Sydney

Meeting point for Self-drive: Peterson House, Corner of Wine Country Drive and Broke Road, Pokolbin. Pokolbin is in the Lower Hunter Valley, located 2 hours north of Sydney and around 45 minutes west from Newcastle.
What to wear: Clothing suitable for walking or hiking is recommended with enclosed shoes, preferably waterproof as there may be dew on the ground in the early mornings. It is no colder in the air than it is on the ground, so dress accordingly for early morning temperatures. A hat and sunglasses are recommended and don’t forget to bring your phone and camera!
